Jason Carron, head chef and owner at Post 1917, has revolutionized the New England restaurant community for two decades. With his acute attention to detail, Carron has helped struggling restaurants find their purpose and passion, restoring their place in the industry. Having given hope to hundreds of restaurants over the years, Carron opened his first steakhouse spring 2024, bringing that same level of attention to his own restaurant. Every ingredient is well thought out to innovate the plate with not only something aesthetically pleasing, but more importantly delicious. His farm to table approach, ensures the highest level of ingredients go into every meal you enjoy.
Since its inception, Post 1917 has already earned various accolades and praise.

Shawn Harris
EXECUTIVE CHEF
Chef Shawn fell in love with food from a young age, and the happiness that good food brings to people. From even the first bite, a good dish can change anyone's mood almost instantly. After completing high school, Shawn immersed himself in the culinary world and cooked in a variety of establishments as he expanded his knowledge of culinary techniques and experience with different cuisines. It was through these experiences that he realized his goal of being a chef. Fueled by his passion, he pursued formal culinary training, studying at the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. Following this education, he continued his growth in kitchen rankings, eventually winning two DiRoNa Awards along with other accolades. His journey as a chef has been both challenging and rewarding, and is far from over. The kitchen will always be Shawn’s sanctuary and he is excited to continue pursuing his passions in the culinary world.

Emily Bucchanio
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Emily Bucchanio comes from a large, close-knit family with deep farming roots on her mother’s side. Growing up working on her family’s farm sparked her early appreciation for the land and instilled a lasting respect for the connection between food, agriculture, and community.
Over the past decade, Emily has built her career in hospitality from the ground up, beginning on the restaurant floor and growing into leadership through hands-on experience and a deep commitment to guest experience. She has worked across high-volume, high-touch dining environments, developing teams, refining service standards, and creating thoughtful, welcoming spaces. Her experience spans multiple markets, where she has helped shape consistent yet personalized guest experiences while mentoring teams and cultivating a culture of genuine hospitality.
Driven by her passion for people, service, and meaningful connection, Emily brings both heart and professionalism to every role she takes on — always striving to create memorable experiences through thoughtful details, strong leadership, and environments where guests feel truly cared for.

Jessica Potter
EVENTS COORDINATOR
Growing up in Minnesota, she developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for community and connection, which has greatly influenced her professional journey. After 14 years of experience as a server, she honed her skills in customer service, multitasking, and effective communication, all while working in high-paced environments. Jessica further refined her creative talents by earning a degree in Interior Design with an emphasis on Kitchen and Bathroom Design, which allowed her to develop a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of organization. Two years ago, she moved to Boston, where she is now transitioning into the role of Event Coordinator. She is bringing all of the skills she's acquired—whether in design, service, or customer-focused roles—into this new chapter. With a passion for creating memorable experiences and an ability to juggle multiple moving parts, she is excited to contribute to delivering seamless, impactful events for clients.

Christian Tanso
BAR MANAGER
Christian has been a hospitality and award-winning bartending professional for a decade, driven to give guests an unforgettable experience, whether it be their first time at the bar or 100th. He prides himself on his wealth of knowledge and cocktail creation. He has been designing and creating high-level cocktails for years, with an emphasis on creativity and balance. There is no denying his passion for his craft. Christian also has a passion for spirits. Most noticeably world whisky, brandy, and tequila. He specializes in distillery knowledge, history, and flavor pairings to find the perfect whisky for your palate.
"I didn't really know what I wanted to do in life when I was younger. I tried tons of different fields and careers before I stumbled on bartending after being pushed by my mother( a server for most of her life). I wouldn't change a thing after a decade in the industry. I've learned and grown as a person, and I'm excited for this continuing saga in my life, which is restaurants."
